My "ideal" installation:
TV <-> 1ft cable <-> HDMI wall plate <-> 25ft cable <-> HDMI wall plate <-> 3ft cable <-> receiver <-> 1ft cable <-> DVR
This cable just wasn't up to the config above. To get an acceptable picture at all, I had to directly connect the TV to the DVR with this cable, and then I still saw artifacts and occasional signal drops.
Replaced with a 22awg cable from Monoprice, which cost a couple bucks less and works perfectly in the configuration described above.
