I work in a store that sells the same freaking cord for around 15 to 20 bucks. it's an audio cord. it has one simple purpose: to carry audio. i bought two, one for my car and one for my dorm computer speaker. works just fine and for a penny and 3 bucks of shipping i love however this is possible

The cable cannot work in a car or anywhere where you need it to be protected from magnetic interference.
If you want a cable that can connect your iPhone/iPod to your car, buy something else. This is worth 1 cent; not much more.
